Aerith Gainsborough - Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

The costume was created in a month with white ribbed knit fabric, synthetic light blue lace, and satin blanket binding. The challenge here was mimicking a cover stitch machine, while also making sure that the knit straps were strong enough to hold an entire dress.

Flowers were made of eva foam with floral wire for stems. Basket was hand woven from a basket weaving kit sold by V.I. Reed and Cane. Red shirt was purchased. And shoes were painted with a mix of Xtreme Flex Deco Art and Americana acrylic paints. Flowers were iron on patches that were sewn on with invisible thread. Bow was broadcloth with medium weight interfacing, for extra stiffness.
